TANJUNGPINANG – The 2021 Nusantara Student Exchange Program for Credit Transfer System, abbreviated as Permata-Sari 2021, is a collaborative program carried out online by the West Region State Higher Education Cooperation Agency (BKS-PTN) which is attended by 33 participating State Universities.

Dr. Viktor Amrifo, S.Pi, M.Si, Vice Rector I of UMRAH said that the Permata-Sari Program is a form of implementation of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture which gives students the right to study three semesters outside the Study Program.

“Now for UMRAH itself, in the Permata-Sari 2021 program, there are 54 enthusiasts from 13 universities with 10 choices of study programs at UMRAH, namely Accounting, Marine Science, Government Science, Management, Indonesian Language and Humanities Education, Chemistry Education, Sociology, Electrical Engineering, Informatics Engineering, and Fishery Product Technology, “said Dr. Viktor on Monday (8/2/2021).

The Permata-Sari program has three main objectives, namely; first as strengthening competency and expanding student learning experience by experiencing studying in other universities; secondly, as a strengthening of the sense of nationality and love for the country through intercultural interactions among participants; then the third is to develop networks and collaboration between students from various universities in the country

“The Permata-Sari program goes through three implementation mechanisms, namely the registration, selection and determination stages,” said Dr. Viktor.

As a condition, applicants are active students in semesters 4 to 8 undergraduate or applied undergraduate programs, a minimum GPA of 2.75, and fill out and sign the Permata-Sari registration form.
At the selection stage, prospective participants register at their respective tertiary institutions by completing the stipulated requirements, then the tertiary institutions carry out the selection in a transparent and accountable manner and the results of the selection are sent to the Permata-Sari management team with the Rector’s cover letter via the Permata-Sari management website.

The last stage is the determination stage. Selected students from each tertiary institution are determined as participants by the Decree of the Chairman of the West BKS-PTN West Vice Rector I Forum. Furthermore, students have access to take or choose the Permata-Sari course.

For the implementation of lectures, students will undergo a full learning process in the even semester of the 2020/2021 fiscal year at the receiving university.

“Hopefully this Permata-Sari program can run as expected, and can support the success of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program launched by the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture,” hoped Dr. Viktor Amrifo.
