JAKARTA – The Chancellor of Maritime University Raja Ali Haji (UMRAH) Tanjungpinang, Prof. Dr. Agung Dhamar Syakti, S.Pi, DEA and the Chancellor of the University of Rhode Island (URI) Prof. Marc B. Parlange Signed the Manuscript of Cooperation Agreement (MoU). At Dharmawangsa Hotel, Jakarta. Wednesday (18/1/2023).
UMRAH and URI agreed to sign a cooperation agreement as a form of the seriousness of both parties to jointly maximize and increase the potential of the resources of both parties to move forward together.
The signing ceremony was held on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the cooperation between Indonesia and URI. Also witnessing the signing were the Regional Secretary of Riau Islands Province, Drs. Adi Prihantara, MM and the American Ambassador to Indonesia, Sung Y. Kim, as well as LPDP representatives and various government agencies that have URI graduates.
UMRAH Chancellor, Prof. Agung Dhamar Syakti in his remarks appreciated the two parties who had worked hard to formulate future cooperation programs, as well as the URI Chancellor, who hoped that the results of the discussion of cooperation in education, research and international programs could be implemented and sustainable.
At the end of the meeting, URI Vice Rector for International Affairs, Prof. Kristin Johnson, who chaired the event, thanked all those present.
