SEMARANG – Raja Ali Haji Maritime University (UMRAH) continues to strengthen academic and student cooperation with other well-established State Universities in Indonesia.
This time, UMRAH collaborated with Diponegoro University (UNDIP) Semarang. The official collaboration of the two universities that both using the name of a national hero was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the UMRAH Rector and the UNDIP Rector.
This MoU was immediately followed up by the signing of the MoA between the Dean of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences (FIKP) UMRAH and the Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) UNDIP.
UMRAH Rector Prof. Dr. Agung Dhamar Syakti, S.Pi, DEA hopes that the MOA can become a medium for implementing learning development for students and lecturers in the context of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program at both universities.
Non-formally the academic collaboration between UMRAH and UNDIP has been running recently, such as mentoring with postgraduate doctoral students (double degree) at the Department of Marine Sciences UNDIP
“Currently I am one of the promoters of doctoral students at the Department of Marine Sciences UNDIP, so it remains only to be formalized through the MoA, so that this collaboration in academic activities can also be developed through co-guidance with final project students in the Masters and Undergraduate programs at both universities,” said Prof. . Agung Dhamar Syakti
Regarding the implementation of the MoA, Dean of the Faculty of Marine Sciences and Fisheries UMRAH, Dr. Ir. T. Ersti Yulika Sari, S.Pi., M.Si said that the implementation of MoA will be followed up by departments at FIKP UMRAH in various useful activities including student and lecturer internships as well as joint lectures on similar subjects.
